Where are the best values in vacations?

  • Generally cruising and all inclusive destination resorts.

What about advertised discount specials?

  • Check with your travel agent to compare apples to apples. Many discount specials don't include the full cost and may nickel and dime you to death

Aren’t travel agents expensive?

  • No. Ask for a written quote and see for yourself.

What is another advantage of using a travel agency?

  • A travel agent may be able to assign you to a group and even though there may be no physical contact with the other members, you may enjoy the group rate.
  • Many times travel agents may have answers to questions that you didn’t know needed to be asked.
  • Traveling out of the country especially requires the correct preparation.

Will I get sea sick on a cruise?

  • Modern day cruise ships are inscribable large and have stabilizers. They stir away from rough seas and motion is generally difficult to detect.

What about hurricanes?

  • A hurricane may cause a change in itinerary but the cruise ship will not sail into a hurricane active area. Cruise lines take the safety of their customer very seriously. Check with your travel agent about a resort.

Why do prices change so much during the year?

  • Cruise itineraries and destination vacations have high and low seasons that affect pricing. Traveling in the low season can save money.

Is the exchange rate any important consideration when planning a vacation?

  • Absolutely, generally a South American trip is a better value than a European trip, all other things being equal. However, check with your travel agent for details.

Can I trust picture representations of resorts and hotels etc over the internet?

  • Not always. A picture may not be worth a thousand words. Many problems can be hidden from pictures including construction, renovations in progress, location, service, room size, view, etc.

What will happen if I get sick or injured while traveling out of the country?

  • Check with you health insurance policy to see if treatment and or medical evacuation is covered. If not, talk with your travel professional about travel insurance. We never travel without it. Remember, if your health is at stake or the health of others, you may be required to leave the trip at your expense.
  • Medical evacuation is very expensive and medical expertise will very from place to place.

What about children’s discounts?

  • Many resorts and hotels offer discounts for children but they are not automatic. Check with your travel agent. Cruise lines generally do not provide discounts for children. However, the third and fourth person in a stateroom is discounted regardless. .

Can I cruise in a stateroom as a single?

  • Yes, many cruise lines offer singles on some ships and itineraries but rates vary. Check with you travel agent.
